Add ability to show orders with backordered items
If an order creates a backorder situation, have a column in the Package view that flags that order

In Shipper 3.8 you can create your own filters and highlights with complex queries. To show or highlight packages with backordered items use criteria such as:
Items[Inventory <= 0]
